GENERAL APPEARANCE
Lively, alert, with the typical appearance of a working dog, of natural outline.
Stands confidently on the forelegs, which are set well forward. Strong hindquarters, deep chest, free movement, weather-resistant coat.
BEHAVIOUR / TEMPERAMENT
Should give the impression of being active, game and hardy.
Bold and cheerful in character, determined but not aggressive.
HEAD
Small, but in proportion to the body. Well furnished with hair.
SKULL
Skull: Broad, with a clearly defined indentation between the eyes.
Stop: Well defined.
FACIAL REGION
Nose: Black
Muzzle: Powerful
Jaws/Teeth: Large teeth, strong jaws (but not long or heavy), with a perfect, regular and complete scissor bite (the upper incisors closely overlapping the lower incisors and set square to the jaws).
EYES
Medium-sized, dark hazel, set wide apart, rather deep-set, with shaggy eyebrows.
EARS
Small, pointed, well carried and erect. Neither set too close together nor excessively coated.
